On August 6, 2011 shortly after 1900 Hrs Hook and Ladder responded to the area of 90 South Main St for a report of a car fire secondary to an MVA. Units arrived to find a fully involved vehicle which had traveled about 200 feet across a homeowners front yard and came to rest against some trees. The fire was quickly extinguished using around 200 gallons of water. The driver was uninjured but was evaluated by Newtown EMS. Hook and Ladder operated on scene for about 1 hour.
